About the event
The Uganda Rare Disease Awareness Run is a public engagement event designed to raise awareness about rare diseases and the lived realities of affected individuals and families in Uganda.
Held as a complementary event to the 1st Uganda National Scientific Conference on Rare Diseases, the run provides a visible, inclusive platform for communities, patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, and partners to stand in solidarity with people living with rare and genetic conditions.
While non-clinical in nature, the event is grounded in science-informed messaging and aligns with broader efforts to improve recognition, diagnosis, and research engagement around rare diseases in Uganda.
