Clinical & Genomic Literacy
Building understanding of genetics and rare diseases among healthcare professionals and communities.
Genetic and rare diseases are often misunderstood, even within clinical settings. Limited exposure during training and rapid advances in genomic science have created knowledge gaps that affect diagnosis and care.
ARRC promotes clinical and genomic literacy through education, dialogue, and resource development tailored to African contexts. We focus on demystifying genetics, clarifying inheritance patterns, and supporting clinicians and communities to engage confidently with rare disease concepts.
Improved literacy empowers better clinical decisions, informed families, and more effective public health planning.
