
ARRC announces the 1st Uganda National scientific conference on rare Diseases

A national scientific convening to advance rare disease research, genomics and collaboration in Uganda

The African Rare Disease Research Centre (ARRC) is convening its inaugural Uganda Rare Disease Scientific Conference to bring together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, patient advocates, and industry partners to advance rare disease research, clinical innovation, and collaboration in Africa, on 28th Feb, world rare disease day.
The conference will serve as a national and continental platform for scientific exchange, capacity building, and strategic dialogue on rare diseases, an area of growing importance for health systems, research institutions, and affected communities.
Invitations have been extended to leading research and academic institutions, clinical centres, and health stakeholders across Uganda. The programme will feature scientific presentations, panel discussions, and collaborative sessions addressing research gaps, diagnostics, therapeutics, and policy frameworks for rare diseases in Uganda .
